Unreadable text in dialog boxes

I'm using FMPro 4.0 on both a Mac 9600 with 248mb ram and a G4 with 384mb ram, and on both systems, all FM dialog boxes display text that is small, jagged and compressed to the point that it is unreadable in most cases. It has done this from day one. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? None of my other programs do this.

Make sure that FMO is 4.Xv3 patch level. If using MacOS9, try switching off font smoothing in the Appearance control panel (in the Fonts tab).
