I think having the possibility to create sub-layouts in layout would be a great addition. This way, we could create a tool layout that we modify in a single place and add this layout to many layouts. It would keep maintenance to minimum thus saving time.

Also, having the possibility to dynamically show and hide these would be necessary. I know, I can use a blank label that has the same dimension and apply conditional formatting but it's not natural and normal.

That's a cool idea. It would be more like the Apple Numbers approach to data display, rather than Microsoft Excel. You could draw one or more layouts anywhere on the page you want. Of course then each layout would need its own navigation and control elements.

MS Access has this and it's great. Access isn't great, but that feature is!
