Hello. It's posible to have an alarm for agenda type of file that reminds you of an event at different hours or dates?

If upgrade is necessary please advice...

Thanks. Manuel

You can. It is done by having a script constantly running, looping through a process of performing finds (for the events) and playing sounds if any are found. I dislike the thought of having a script constantly running: other scripts might halt or quit it, so the development of the whole database system needs to be considered very carefully.

On the other hand, a much simpler system can be developed if the compromise is made to check for events only when the database is first opened. Run the check once a day or however often the file is opened, with a button to "check now" for the impatient users.
