Newbies DAD Posted May 14, 2000 Newbies Posted May 14, 2000 I have FMPro 4.1v3. The Help files have become unavailable from the Tool bar. However the files "FileMaker Pro Help" and "FileMaker Pro Balloon Help" are still in the root folder and so is the app "Quickhelp". I can run Quickhelp separately and bring up the "FileMaker Pro Help" file with no problem...but not from the FMPro program itself. Any ideas on how to re-establish the link will be most appreciated. Thanks/Bill
birdman Posted May 15, 2000 Posted May 15, 2000 I just checked my setup. When I hit the help command in FileMaker v.4.1 the application FileMaker Help Viewer opens up. You did not mention this file. If you are on a MAC it should be located in your system folder in the folder called Claris.
Newbies DAD Posted May 15, 2000 Author Newbies Posted May 15, 2000 Birdman...THXVM for your comment. That file doesn't exist in my "Claris" Folder. Does its icon look like a blue string tied box with a question mark at the cross-point? There is a file in this folder called "Claris Help File" but I believe it's to do with Appleworks. Is it possible you could e-Mail it to me? Many thanks/Bill/[email protected]
