I am a new office manager of a small company and I have just received a brand new Gateway PC. My old Aptiva has the Filemaker 4.0 v1, build 950 on it .... I got a iomega zip yesterday - and it worked fine. Today the zip is not responding. The iomega support told me that sometimes they communicate and sometimes they don't (of course I am paraphrasing!)

Now I want to transfer the entire Filemaker Pro 4.0 to the new Gateway....can I do this with floppys and can someone talk me thru this like I was a 3 year old??

I have had the same problem with Zips on my Gateway. The universal "cure" is to reboot your computer with any zip disk in the zip drive. The CPU then sees the zip disk. Seems to work every time. That would be much easier than using multiple floppies, I think.
