Newbies Este Posted May 30, 2000 Newbies Posted May 30, 2000 Hi! As a publishers agent, I run a database on filemaker 4 to track orders for books on behalf of my customers. Obviously one order can have more than one book entry. I'm trying to create a merge file in word so that I can send confirmation of orders as an email attachment - however, can only get the first line of any order in the word merge document. The database is relational - ie One file for orders and another for order lines. Any suggestions? David Este
birdman Posted May 30, 2000 Posted May 30, 2000 David, I was going to suggest that you do the confirmation letter in FMP but then I read you wished to email the letter. I would still suggest the letter within FMP but would look into a plug-in that will do the email component. I think that you may find the Word merge solution a difficult one to set up.
