Newbies jmwillis Posted February 22, 2001 Newbies Posted February 22, 2001 I've working on getting a FMP5 data base available to web clients using instant web publishing The main data entry window contains two portals that lead to related files. In FMP, data entry in the portal creates new entries in the related files. However, in the web browser (Internet Explorer), after clicking on New Record, I can enter data in the main file, but am unable to enter data for the related files. What can I do (if anything) to allow a web browser to create new related records? TIA Mike Willis, Purdue University News Service FMP newbie [email protected]
scratchmalogicalwax Posted February 22, 2001 Posted February 22, 2001 hmmmm Lasso allows updating of related records through a (non sorted) portal I don't think WC on it's own does......it's been a while since I used CDML!
Keith M. Davie Posted February 23, 2001 Posted February 23, 2001 I believe that your "problem" is Instant, not Custom publishing. This is not to say that you can directly alter a portal in the manner in which you desire with Custom publishing. It merely means than Instant Web Publishing is very limiting in what can be done.
