Newbies PrestonCabe Posted April 5, 2011 Newbies Posted April 5, 2011 Dear FileMaker/ OS X nerds: I am moving on from my position as Systems Engineer at George Blood Audio/Video in Philadelphia. Below is the posting for my replacement. Over the last several years, GBAV has evolved an enterprise-level IT infrastructure and pretty sophisticated workflow automation. As an employee here, you'll learn about how far we've come and be charged with taking it to the next level. This is a great opportunity for the right sort of geek; the company is committed to devoting substantial resources to R&D. Plus: The people are great and the gear you'll be working with is top-notch. Contact me if you have any questions. (but send resumes, etc. to [email protected] as instructed below) -Preston We are a leading provider of sound and video digitization for preservation. Our processes are under continual development - a constant evolution of work flow, hardware and software. Our work flow is modeled in FileMaker Pro, covering everything from time sheet entries and payroll to hardware and software automation. Our current programmer has announced his intention to leave the field. We seek someone to begin immediately who can work with him to learn the application and smooth the transition. We are nearly all Mac-based. Hardware is managed by a full-time network administrator. Most work is evolutionary with occasional major changes - scrum rather than waterfall; small changes on a nearly daily basis. Staff is accustomed to working with programmer to develop solutions in their area.
