You are trying to to get sequential group numbers for each group in your report. The fact that your layout has no body part is irrelevant - the problem is exactly the same with it or without.

I did try it. I must have done something wrong because the sCountEmployees field in the solution recommended just gave me the count of distinct employees. I must be missing something.
