Filemaker DBA/Project manager wanted in Orlando, FL

A publishing and web design firm within driving distance from Orlando seeks a Database Administration (DBA) manager. The DBA manager reports directly to the CEO.

Required skills are:

Experience outsourcing database maintenance to low cost offshore contractors and managing offshore contractors

Extensive project management experience

Extensive knowledge and Experience with at least one of the following databases: Filemaker, SQL Server

Experience managing data for web applications

Computer Science, Statistics or Math undergraduate degree

A minimum of 10 years’ work experience

Demonstrable excellence in managing large volumes of data

Excellent Excel proficiency – including programming and use of keyboard shortcuts

Bonus skills (not required):

Experience with lean and mistake proofing processes

Key Responsibilities

Automate database processes

Manage all areas of process from requesting data from data sources to ensuring that data is properly scrubbed and implemented

Locate off shore contractors and outsource manual processes

Develop procedures to ensure data integrity

Program databases and manage data for web sites

Continuously drive improvements and aim for 100% data integrity
