DykstrL Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 As long as you are not attaching files to the email, you can use "Open URL" and the "mailto:" tag. As part of the mailto tag you can include cc, bcc, subject, and body. It will use the user's default email system and will work with both MAC's and PC's.
Vaughan Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 Use sendmail, but create a looping script that sends the message to each record individually. I dunno whether OpenURL will do Bcc.
dylan Posted March 16, 2001 Posted March 16, 2001 In the filemaker 5 sendmail script step, a cc field is included but no bcc. This is potentially disastrous for me. If I need to mail a circular to everyone in my database, they will all have each other's email addresses! Ugh, that can't happen. Is there an easier workaround than using cc, opening the resultant email Filemaker generates (in Eudora or suchlike) and cutting and pasting between cc and bcc fields?
