How to import a table from one database to another with Pro

I am new to FM and have purchased FM Pro 11. I am trying to use 2 files and join them. I just read that I can not copy a table from one file, but I can import it. I can not seem to find where to do this. Any help would be wonderful.

I think that you need the Advanced version to import tables

I was afraid of that. I saw a similar question on this forum, which said you can't copy in pro (only advanced) but you could import.

File > Import Records > File

Please note this will only import your data, not the calculations in the original. It will however allow you to create the new table with the fields of the same name from the original. You will have to redefine the calculations.

This is only one feature of FMP Advanced - there are many others that justify the upgrade cost, not least of which is the script debugger and data viewer.
