text formatting toolbar shows up twice on screen

Featured Replies

This may sound simple, but I find it very annoying:

I constantly end up with the text formatting toolbar showing up twice on my screen.

I have a script to turn off all toolbars. That takes care of text toolbar number one.

But the other one always remains on the screen and there is no way I can interact with it to have it go away.

(The standard Filemaker menu shows it greyed out)

It stays right on top of header section, preventing use of the navigation buttons I put there for the runtime application.

Sometimes, by fiddling with the system randomly, I can get it to disappear.

However, the next time I open the application, it goes right back on.

I guess this should be an easy one for advanced users !

Update to my post:

I found out that if I switch to Window mode, then back to Full screen, the text formatting toolbar disappears !

Any hints ?

Make sure you're using the latest version of FMP 11.0 -- on Windows I think it's currently 11.0v3.

Thank you for the hint.

I'm on Version 2.

To avoid the problem, I added Window Minimize/Maximize in my opening script. Everything looks OK now.
