iPhone 4s

Featured Replies

Well the new iPhone 4S (aka 4.5) was announced today to mixed reactions but Waldo (FM12) was nowhere to be seen so my speculation that the release dates of the two may be related turned out to be wrong. Oh well, I've been wrong before and I suspect I'll be wrong again.

I must admit that I was one of those who was initially underwhelmed by the news of a 4S rather than an iPhone 5 but after mulling it over some I think it is a pretty substantial incremental change. I hear some say that the "S" in 4S stands for "same". It seems more evolutionary than revolutionary but not bad. I might upgrade my current iPhone NULL to the 4S myself.

I think some consumers of Apple products see them as fashion accessories. Since the iPhone 4 and 4S look the same nothing is achieved by merely posing with the handset! I imagine that if the internal hardware was identical to the 4S with a case redesign and a big old 5 added to the end, the reaction would have been very different. Personally I like the design of the iPhone 4 and I also enjoy more computational power. I think when my 3GS contract comes up I'll be looking at the 4S...

As a moderator here, I must restrain my response... and let's not start a flame war... but, really? I don't agree with a single thing in that post.

All I know is I miss that pig. We pink-skinned, hairless critters should stay together.

Just put back the pig, didn't realize it had been removed, what happened???
