Kevin Cheesman Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Hi, I've dropped Google map on a layout and I get a message about the Browsers font size not being supported. Any way to sort this? Also, How do I get the map to present without side panel on the left?
Newbies jsgblom Posted November 28, 2011 Newbies Posted November 28, 2011 Hi Kevin, I'm having the same issue with the font size. No clue yet how to solve this. To get rid of the side panel it might be an option for you to use the embedded google map as a custom web address: "http://local.google.com/maps?output=embed&iwloc=&q=" & Contacts::Country Name &","& Contacts::Province &","& Contacts::Place &","& Contacts::Postal Code &","& Contacts::Street & "&z=15"; which becomes for example: http://local.google....Levantkade&z=15 I use this to show the location on google maps instantly. So when changing the address, it shows directly in the web viewer. The last bit &z=15 is the initial zoom level (range of 1-21). For more information on url parameters for google maps: http://picchiri.word...maps-parameter/ or http://querystring.o...ing-parameters/ Johan. 1
Newbies falvesjr Posted April 27, 2012 Newbies Posted April 27, 2012 Has anyone had any luck fixing this problem of "font size not supported" on the Mac? Seems to work fine on Windows or even in FileMaker Go on an iPad. Thanks!
jlisburn Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Thanks for the side panel params, I didn't realize it was needed at the beginning of the string
fmow Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I am having the exact same issue, on v. 5 of fmp 12 on Mavericks. Disappointed this bug hasn't been fixed. Do we know what can trigger this behavior? Could someone explain to me the difference between the approach jsgblom suggests and the web viewer tool in fm. Or is it via the web viewer that you specify again your gmaps requirements.
