Scripting the screen to re-fresh

Featured Replies

Is there a way to automatically refresh a screen upon specified time intervals?

I have a database that is hosted on a web server.

We access it from my house, my shop office and the production floor at my cabinet shop.

When I update it from my home office or shop office everything seems normal on the screen I key the data into.

The screen view on the cabinet shop floor, however, does not automatically update with then new changes.

The people on the shop floor are not aware of any changes to the database unless they remember to check in.

I want to use conditional formatting to signal incoming information (white fonts with red fill patterns).

This should be readily observable from a distance without having to actually come over to check in.

I am stymied, however, because I cannot get the shop floor screen to update remotely.

Is there a way to script a refresh?

You can do it with a plug in

You can do it without a plugin:

Not sure why you need to do anything, though. The terms "new changes" and "incoming information" are not quite clear.
