The most important addition to the product line is without a doubt the integrated MySQL database. THAT is the evidence of a major separation between Blueworld and Filemaker Inc.

I'm going to try out the new Lasso engine to see what benefits we can draw from it.

They where newer in bed together.

If you start company, you start with something you know well. So Blueworld started with FileMaker.

If you are brave, you progress where you think you will succeed.

BW never declared that it will be dedicated FM Company.

Look at Microsoft. From small unimportant company, which provided HW for Apple Computer Inc. they conquer halve of the World. Bill ambition was not to be small loyal Apple HW manufacturer.

All true! I think it is good that BW aren't forgetting their FMPro / WebSTAR roots and are still making plug-ins / Modules for both!

As for MySQL / Oracle support, it really allows scalability up to enterprise level solutions if they are ever required.

The only thing they haven't made clear is backward compatibility with OS 9x and WebSTAR 4.4. I assume it won't be and I am not going to upgrade to OSX until I know more about it and WebSTAR V.
