Has anybody had problems with FM-Remote with Mac OS 9.1 and above?

I have been running it with 9.04 with no problems - I've just upgraded my servers (which will not accept earlier than 9.1) and FM-Remote now decides not to see any of the hosts! (fresh install and just copy of WebSTAR folder etc from old computer)

I've tried everything (that I know) - WSC works fine - it will see the databases on the specified host(s) - FM-Remote won't see WSC either (this would be my preferred setup)

Databases appear in the "hosts" list when viewed from another FMPro client.

ive tried it with every possible config of WebSTAR and Lasso (4.2, 4.3 4.4, Lasso 3.6.5, Lasso 3.6.6, Lasso 3.6.6 with FM-Remote 3.6.5)

When I go back to the old server everything is fine!

Hopefully I'm missing something or there is a work around....if not I aint too impressed!

Thanks for your help

The problem seems to be with the G4 9.1 and 9.2 OS. I copied the WebSTAR folder etc.(thats why I love Macs! cool.gif" border="0 ) to an iMac (OS 9.1) tried the Lasso FM-Remote mod setup and the databases were there.

Obviously because it was just a copy of the WebSTAR folder from the G4 the settings where exactly the same (I used one of the non VE enhanced setups).

The problem occurs whether I am trying to connect to a client on the RAIC or localhost.

:?:??

Got the problem sorted......I was using WC v6 but decided to downloaded a new one and now all works OK.......wish I had tried that first but didn't cos I was using v6....I was also using the same upgrade I had downloaded before on all the clients.

Maybe it had become corrupted/damaged at some point....either way it works so I'm happy!!!!!
