Hi all,

I have a 45 phrase/word list.

Out of that list I want to create 102 random sets of those phrases/words in a text file.

It's sole purpose is to then use that exported data file to create 102 5 x 3 Bingo/Buzzword tickets.

I have manged to create a single instance of this in Excel, but thought that FM would make a better job or so I thought.

Has anyone performed this before? If so please tell me how you achieved this.

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

Hi Mark,

I am not clear on the requirements. You have 45 records (?) with a field called Phrases which holds one word (?) or several words (?) and you want to select from random a mixture of those Phrases (in any order ?) until they make a string of how many words or Phrase groups? And then the result should be one text field holding a multiline of 102 of those random results (?) to export or should the result be records?

It can be done but it would help to see an example of your Phrases and how you wish the results. Also, are duplicate results allowed? Even random can produce duplicates naturally.

Each ticket contains 15 items from a list of 45? How often does the 45-items list change?

Also, are duplicate results allowed?

Yeah, that too (I seem to be a few seconds behind you today...).

I like you in that position. Too bad it is meaningless, LOL. Ah, I see the 15 now after you spot it.
