March 15, 201213 yr There must be something simple I'm missing, but I'm importing data from a bunch of Excel spreadsheets whose column headers *do* match my Filemaker field names -- bt when I open up the 'Import Field Mapping' panel, the "matching names" option in the "Arrange by:" menu is greyed out. What a drag! Why wouldn't this option be allowed? While I'm here -- is there any way to shove an entire selected column of target fields up or down by one or two rows? Sometimes I have like 50 fields, and due to some discrepancy, they are uniformly mismatched by a few lines from their identically-ordered source fields. I always seem to have to go through and re-align every single field, because when you drag a field into place it swaps places with the one that was there. Surely there's a simple technique I'm missing here? (But the matching fields question would solve 95% of the problem).
