Popup to choose a layout

Featured Replies

I have DB with many layouts and all of them are well organized in folders.

I have made a navigation set of buttons so I can navigate through the main ones but I have some “auxiliary” layouts that is impossible to incorporate to the navigation set, it would be too big and made no sense.

My idea is to add a new navigation button named “Aux” and I would like to make a popup that will show me the list of the Auxiliary layouts so I can choose any of them to go to it.

Is that possible?

Thanks in advance.

Possibly something like this will work?

The layout names are hard-coded in the value list and trigger fires when you change the value in the pop-up (located under the Aux button). Notice that I have also placed developer notes on both of the Aux layouts as reminder if you start to change the layout name. When you are in layout mode, the reminder will tell you to also change the value list. I put reminders all over my layouts so I, or another Developer, will know when there are invisible portals, stacked fields and such.

I suppose you don't want to change your file now but this would be ideally handled by custom menus - maybe to consider for future. :^)
