raitis Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 hi, i have a problem regarding formatting of my product fields. the default parameters are: arial, 11size, plain, black etc. my native language is latvian and when i am typing characters like: ā, ē, ī etc., then the font changes to HEITI SC light. is there a way to fix this issue? i would like that all fields are ALWAYS formatted like this: arial, 11size, plain, black etc. and when i copy some text from webpages into my product description it also copies the formatting. it would be great if it would also have the default formatting. sincerely, raitis
Lee Smith Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Have you tried going into layout mode and clicking on white space and then choosing the font attributes that you want. This should set the current layout and your FileMaker to what is chosen for future new layout. HTH Lee
Newbies gutnbg Posted April 26, 2012 Newbies Posted April 26, 2012 Speaking in relation to raitus' final issue, is there a way to force a field to be formatted only with specific fonts? We would like to be able to restrict the font set for the program, but not for the workstation. TIA
comment Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 my native language is latvian and when i am typing characters like: ā, ē, ī etc., then the font changes to HEITI SC light. It sounds like the Arial font that you have installed doesn't have the required characters. Perhaps you should try Arial Unicode MS instead? when i copy some text from webpages into my product description it also copies the formatting. Set the field to auto-enter calculated value (replacing existing value) = TextFormatRemove ( Self )

Set the field to auto-enter calculated value (replacing existing value) = TextFormatRemove ( Self ) its not working. still changes to HEITI SC light font.
