Formatting layouts to show several pages on one sheet

Featured Replies

Not sure where to put this question.

It's about printing but it is also about layouts.

It might also involve portals.

I have a task list for managing activities in my cabinet shop.

Each cabinet has about 100 processes which is way more records than will fit on a single page.

I would like to manage them in a list format but I want all the items to fit onto a single page.

The end result would look similar to the attached jpeg.

Is there a way to show columns like this on a single layout?

You can get this effect with a layout set up to print in 3 columns/down, and a subsummary with a page break before each.

Portals could also work fine, and might even be the best solution if you know that the lists will never exceed the length of a page.

Either option becomes a little trickier when the lists get too long for one page.

Thanks Fitch,

I've had some success with the portal approach.

Have even been able to conditionally format the fields within the portal to show color based on other criteria.

Will take a look at the 3 columns/down idea.

That may help with a sorting idea I want to try.
