There's a new option in the Advanced Search form: Search in either Live content or in Archives. Anytime I select Archives, the result is:

what was the criteria you were searching on? can you attach a screen shot of the form before you submit and get error?

I've been getting it too - I just thought you were working on it. Here's example: Searched and only entered Comment in Author and resulting screen. But it does that with everything as far as I can tell. FireFox 12.0 Windows XP SP3

it's a known issue that will be patched in the next vRev of the site...
