Hawaii non-profit looking for assistance improving FM Pro manta ray database

The Hawaii Association for Marine Education and Research, Inc. (www.hamerinhawaii.org) is a non-profit dedicated to preserving Hawaii's marine resources. We are conducting some groundbreaking research with manta rays and have been using FM Pro as the primary database for the past 8 years. The database logs each survey, environmental information, individual manta ray sighting histories, photo-identifications, growth rates, genetic information, and geographic tracking information. We wish to improve the database by making it more streamlined, easier to navigate, make it more efficient, add mapping capabilities, and maximize its potential for data analysis and reporting. We also wish to make portions of it available to the general public so they can search and match manta rays they encounter with those currently in the database.

This research is integral in helping to protect and preserve these majestic giants and we hope you will help with our mission to preserve these populations for future generations.

Description of Duties: Consultant would work with the Executive Director in restructuring the current FM Pro database to make it more user friendly and more efficient for data analysis and reporting.
