Position Title: FileMaker Developer

Help is needed immediately for taking responsibility for the maintenance, support and development of several agency-critical FileMaker solutions. This will be a limited term (contract) position potentially becoming a full time permanent opening.

Description of Duties:

Plan, design, develop, maintain and provide training on Program data collection systems developed in FileMaker Pro; organize and oversee Program data collection functions and data management processes and systems; prepare routine and comprehensive reports.

Location: San Jose, CA

Deadline: 6/22/2012

Position: Full Time / Consultants can apply

Employment: Onsite

Skills Required:

  • Plan, develop, build and maintain database systems using FileMaker Pro Advanced 11 or later.
  • Configure and maintain FileMaker Server Advanced 11 or later for the hosting and sharing of multiple FileMaker database systems, including instant web publishing.
  • Configure ODBC data sources and develop FileMaker database systems which connect to and update external SQL Server database systems.
  • Develop and understand database systems optimized for FileMaker Go on iOS devices.
  • Develop complex FileMaker scripts (including On Timer Scripts) and calculation fields.
  • Develop complex FileMaker layouts including conditional formatting, portals, web viewers and script triggers.
  • Develop and implement FileMaker Server scheduled scripts.
  • Debug FileMaker solutions and scripts using Script Debugger and Data Viewer.
  • Oversee Program data collection functions and data management processes and systems.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management and partners agency officials.
  • Write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals.
  • Develop documentation and training materials in a variety of formats including PDF, Web, Video and PowerPoint.
  • Work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, staff, etc.
  • Perform outreach and gain the cooperation and confidence of those contacted in the course of work.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Meet schedules and time lines.
  • Plan and organize work.
