Hi,

I was pulling my currency data from a site that had an XML data source and I was able to write a stylesheet, thank you so much for all you help with that everybody :-)

But now, the XML source is no longer available.

I have this source:

http://openexchangerates.org/

But I need some assistance in what exactly do I do to get the currency data into a stylesheet ( Yes/ No ) so filemaker can use.

I don't really know what questions to ask and I posted a request on the website for additional assistance as well.

I was hoping that maybe someone here on this forum could give me some guidance on how to get data from the above web page so I can use it in my Filemaker solution.

Thank you

Tom :-)

The source you found seems to be available in JSON format only. Filemaker cannot import it without using a plugin.

Why don't you look for an XML alternative, e.g:

http://www.ecb.int/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml

Actually you can use this technique, I use it for data mining... hope it helps..

Sorry for the delay, had family issues.

The file shows data from the European Central Bank.

The base currency is the Euro. I need the base currency to be USD.

And I need all the currency codes, or the majority of them.

What is JSON Format ??

Thank you.

Tom
