I have a hosted database that I'm trying to connect some SQL Server tables with. If I launch a local copy of the database I can see the data and work with it BUT if I launch filemaker client and connect to the database on Filemaker Server, I can't see the data and get an error "The account and password cannot be used to access this file" BUT I'm using the SAME System DSN.

Anyone have ideas why the local copy would work and using Filemaker client would not?

By local copy, so you mean local on the server? If not try installing a copy of Pro on the server and open it locally there.

Also are you using the same account to log in in both scenarios? Are you using Windows Authentication?

"Same" as in "set up the same way"... right? The hosted copy uses the system DSN as set up on the FMS machine itself, not the one from your workstation. (Just in case that was not clear).
