RickK Posted February 9, 2001 Share Posted February 9, 2001 The problem: Arbitray disconnection of users from database with the standard "Communication with host interrupted....." message. O/S: Windows NT 4.0 (SP6). Filemaker Server ver 5.x. Filemaker Pro ver 5.x. Asante hub at 10T half duplex. 46 hosted databases. Averages 28 Windows and 2 Mac users. Installed new network card, recrimped all lines, NT running clean. I am looking for any other solutions that may cause this to occur (software, hardware etc.). Seems as though there were two users who had a copy of the same file in their computers (not part of the server service-but part of the network). User #1 and user #2 BOTH had the filemaker file environment set to "multi-user" for this file and were running at the same time.
