FileMaker & CDML

I would like to know if I want to use FileMaker with CDML tags , how do I go about it.How can I use CDML in FileMaker?I am using FileMaker for the first time :-)

The syntax is the same in FM 5 Pro and Unlimited 5. Also speed and execution.

Basically cdml tags are incorporated into html code. Do you write html? If not, you need to learn that first. Then you need to learn how to incorporate the cdml tags into your code. cdml is the interface language between the browser and the built-in cgi of FileMaker.

There is a lot of bad information readily available. Some of it comes from FileMaker Inc.

SIMPLIFY ...

First of all, TQ for your replies

Actually i'm very familiar with html tags but not CDML. Can anyone recommend any good resource on the net to learn CDML & also a suitable editor for it.

Your help will be very much appreciated...:-)

Hi,

The most convenient tool for CDML till date that I've found is Claris HomePage. Also, FileMaker v4 (with a custom install) includes a CDML refference that is very helpful. If you don't have it, let me know & I can e-mail it to you.
