Newbies bvogler Posted November 27, 2012 Newbies Posted November 27, 2012 Can I cut and paste table from one Filemaker database to another? I found the following instructions but I don't see how to click on "copy" or "paste". I'm using FileMaker Pro version 12. http://www.filemaker.com/help/html/fmpa_custom.23.3.html#1035643 To copy table schema: 1. Open the database file that contains the table you want to copy. 2. Choose File menu > Manage > Database > Tables tab. 3. Select the table you want to copy. 4. Click Copy. 5. Open the database file where you want to paste the table. 6. Choose File menu > Manage > Database > Tables tab. 7. Click Paste.
jbante Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I think the ability to copy & paste tables is a feature of FileMaker Pro Advanced — FileMaker Pro doesn't give you that option.
comment Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Without the Advanced version, you can "copy" a table by importing it and selecting [New Table] as the target. 1
