Hi there, I created a layout with FM 12 and the list shows only the selected record. I have 150 records but can see only one record at a time. Why's that????

Posted (edited)

Layouts come in Form, List and Table views ( see View > View As ).  Form view only displays one record at a time.  Create another layout and specify List or Report (or table) which all provide multiple-records.  Preview provides one page per view.  :smile3:

Added:  You can change the view in Browse mode or re-specify a layout's view in layout mode by Layouts > Layout Setup > Views

Sorry, I should have added that to begin with.

If you go directly from Form to List without having make a List View, you will see the Form View as a list. Sometimes  it is hard to see the difference. However, the Scroll Bar will be there in List View so that you can scroll from record to record.

Take a look at some of the example files that came with your application. Go into Layout Mode and Flip through them.

Okay more information for you, guys. My layout is already selected List View under Layout > Layout Setup. Form View and Form are unchecked. In Browse Mode, I can see there are records but I cannot see them only if I click on the line then it displays the information. They look like an external table, one is white and the next one is grey and so on.

Screen Shot or copy of the file might help us see what you mean.

BTW, I thought the information we provided was pretty basic for some one who has been around the FMForums and had made the number of posts that you have. :)

Well, I resolved the issue by editing the field color. My calc fields are gray meaning they cannot be modified. So by turning them to white, they are now visible !?!?
