Global field based on a found set calculation

Featured Replies

I need to create a global field based on a found set calculation field. The problem is the global field keeps being based on the total records rather than just the found set. Any thoughts? Much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I'm confused by your question. What is the purpose of "a global field based on a found set calculation field?" What is a "found set calculation field?"

Are you familiar with summary fields?

I didn't think about Summary Fields I will try that first before bugging further on this.

But now that you mention summary fields I have a new problem.

My summary field will only show the first record price rather than the total.

So if I have company A and have three invoices for $10, $20 and $50 my summary field only shows me the $10 price.

Same for company B $5, $8, $23, it only shows in the total $5.

Then in my footer the  summary for all invoices at the end of the report is the opposite, in this case it just shows the invoice field for what ever record is the last record on the page.

It has to be a basic answer, but I just cannot find it any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I was using the wrong table for my sub summary. Changed the layout to be based on the table that my records prices are in and all works.
