It happened the same day we updated the 12.0v4, but I can't be sure it's related.  FM support says it's not an issue, only my problem. 

 

When I Save as PDF now, all the PDFs are saved almost as an image, and not searchable or selectable text.  The problem is, we upload the PDFs to a service that uses the text tags, so no our entire system has ground to a halt.  I can't figure out how to make it go back to saving a PDF that has text rather than an image.  Anyone else have this issue or know of a possible solution?

This topic has been posted almost to death. It appears to be a very significant problem. Perhaps do a search on the issue and you'll see what I mean.

This is a Windows only problem? A quick Mac test did not indicate a problem.

One possible solution might be to use a PDF print system such as CutePDF to create the PDF files rather than using the built-in Save as PDF option.  http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp
