Salesman0Gil Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I recently did a re install of the FM Server to a new machine. I can navigate to the fmiiwp default page, and when I click a database I receive "Database Not Available" I have checked permission and and ensured IWP was enabled. Any ideas?
Salesman0Gil Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Also. even though we do not use them. PHP and XSLT receive the error "the php connection to the fmserver_sample database failed" when tried. They are enabled.
IdealData Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I have checked permission and and ensured IWP was enabled. You must enable the fmiwp extended privilege on the file AND turn on IWP in the server. Done them both? IWP is only available as an option for FMS ADVANCED, whereas PHP/XML is also available in standard FMS. Got the correct license?
Salesman0Gil Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Thanks for the ideas. I do have FM Server Advanced, and IWP is turned on.
IdealData Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 You must enable the fmiwp extended privilege on the file Sorry to be such an exacting SOB. The fmiwp extended privilege is applied to each privilege set, therefore it will only be available to a user that has logged in with a privilege set the has fmiwp switch on. Were there any issues during the install of FM Server? Have you run the server deployment all the way through?
Salesman0Gil Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 No worries... You never make it to the authentication for any database. You click a database from the home page, and you receive the error "Database Not Available" no issues installing FM Server. I completed the deployment. Is there a way to uninstall/reinstall the IWP aspect alone, and not the entire FM Server?
IdealData Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 You click a database from the home page, and you receive the error "Database Not Available" Almost suggests there's something wrong with the web server, particularly when connected with there report about PHP. The standard FMS ships with a sample database enabled for all features. This is the standard test of all functionality. If that's failing there's something wrong with the server (either FMS, web or OS) installation. You haven't said what the host OS is yet. Try hosting the file using FMPro to eliminate the server from the equation. I don't know how to just install the IWP part of FMS, and I wouldn't do it either.
Salesman0Gil Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Tried the server sample and it failed. I grabbed a file from the server and hosted it with pro, no problem. I also tested the web server, by going to the default home page, and it is working. Also, forgiveness, forgot it is Win Server 2008 R2 It looks like it is time to reinstall FM Server and IIS
IdealData Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 The Windows event log might throw some light on this, but I agree it sounds like re-install time.
