rob Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I can't find where to adjust the height of the body. I know I can drag that tab or its bottom line but I need precision. Where are those numbers stored please? I thought it would be inspector position but when I adjust body height, that number stays at 0. I am missing something basic I think. What stumps me is that I can see the height in Inspector but it won't let me access it. New to FM. Thank you for being patient with obviously silly question.
LaRetta Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Hi Rob! Welcome to FMForums! By some chance do you mean width instead of height? Height will appear (and allow edit) when you click onto the part's tab but width will not. Inspector will only display the part's width for edit when you click the body but NOT the part's tab. It is confusing that height and width for the parts requires different process to adjust their Position, I admit, so it isn't a silly question at all. If this isn't what you are trying to describe don't give up ... explain a bit more and we can help you with it.
rob Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 No, I meant height. But I see that I got confused as you've said. Height does adjust fine and it's width that won't and I had expected width to allow adjustment just as height did so you nailed it. Wow. I'm glad I came here. Thank you for clarifying. Can you also tell me how I would create a pop list which decreases its value as items are selected? Otherwise I'm rolling with this new program. It is quite easy to use. Thank you again.
LaRetta Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 i believe you seek what is called a Diminishing Value List. If you search here, there are many threads devoted to the subject. If you get stuck, post a new question about it so we can keep the thread devoted to its specific subject. You might also want a Conditional Value List however ... Can you provide an example of what would be selected in the first pop-up and what would be the result in the second?
rob Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 I found it thank you. It was conditional values and I found sample file here and everything.
