To display on layout $$var but show it differently

Often i might have a global $$var in its raw format like 1 or  0

I rather display on layout in a different format...  ie   "your right"    or   "your wrong"

 

Using a  new calc field,  a case or if statement,,  just doesn't seem work well using $$var?

.
