Hope this isn't too much to ask, but can't you put hyperlinks into a FileMaker Pro database? Is there a work-around?

I just want to point to local HTML documents and PDF documents that will reside in the same directory as the FileMaker document.

To see an example of what I'd like to have see:

This needs to be Macintosh and Windows.

Many thanks to whomever can provide an elegant solution.

create a script for each one using the Open Url step in the Misc. section. for the website, type in the URL (http://www.fmforums.com) and type some text such as www.fmforums.com. Click on the text box and define it as a button to perform the script (if you don't know, you define it under Format...Button). The pdf url will look something like . . .

file:///main/Desktop%20Folder/thing.pdf

if you don't know why the above works and how to apply it, email me or someone else that probably knows and i'll explain.

Also make sure the format the field appropriately so that your users will recognize it as a hyperlink.
