ConorH16 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Hi guys, Is there a way to create a custom dialog that displays a password entry field? Then, if you get it wrong it doesn't let you continue onto the next page? Many thanks in advance, Conor
Lee Smith Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 If you are talking about: FileMakers’s Accounts & Privileges & Passwords Security, No. If you are talking about creating some sort of security schema, it isn’t a good idea. You can find more information about this in the Security Concepts Topic. 1
bruceR Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Yes. Have you tried reading the manual about custom dialogs? Or even just looking at the custom dialog script step?
ConorH16 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 Yes, I have tried looking at the manual... There is nothing.
bruceR Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Wrong. http://www.filemaker.com/13help/en/html/scripts_ref2.37.60.html#1068697
ConorH16 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 Tried what it says on that page already. Ok, changed my plan. I am now just going to create a script that requires a user to re-login and they are then redirected to the desired layout. Is there a way to either prevent the user from cancelling out of the re-login form or a way to end the script so that they can't continue? Thanks!
bruceR Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 What is "the next page" ? Next layout? Next tab? Next record?
