September 1, 201411 yr Newbies I'm currently using a new version of FileMaker Pro. I've used it before, and have a database saved in .fp7 format. I'm trying to use the old database with my new version, and have tried converting the old file to the .fmp12 format, but every time I try to open the database, I get the error: "The database file isn't in the correct directory, this needs to be corrected to continue." The database was copied from an older computer that has since passed on, and I can't remember which directory it was in. Is there any way around this?
September 1, 201411 yr I don't think that's a Filemaker error message. It sounds like you have a startup script looking for another file and not finding it. If I had to guess, I'd say you are opening a UI file and the data file is missing. Are you the developer of this solution?
