Just upgraded to FMServer 13 and FMPro  Advanced 13.  When I enter text in a field, the cursor appears two, three, or sometimes four spaces to the right of where the next character appears!  Makes it very difficult to correct typing mistakes, and is disconcerting seeing the cursor in the wrong spot.

 

Anyone else experience this issue?

 

BTW - I am in a window 7 environment, and no one else in the office has the same issue.  I'm the only one on FM Advanced.

I witnessed the same problem at customer using windows 7, the only work around was to view the screen at 150% and then it displays correctly.  I experimented with different resolutions so the temporary fix is viewing at 150. I was going to call filemaker tech support, we can't be the only ones with this issue.

Answers - did you contact FM support?  I was hopeful that update v.4 would solve this issue, but no luck.

Known issue - but not corrected with most recent update (v.4 FM Advanced)   Setting windows screen resolution to 100% corrected this problem, but I prefer 125% for my aging eyes...

I was aware it was a known issue; there have been other threads about it, TechNet, Cafe' etc.  I was just saying that if you wanted to ask FM directly for an update or if you wished to keep current on the discussions on what is happening, that is the link.

 

Posting here is always welcome ... not everyone has the chance to go to every forum and check for bugs but many aren't aware that that is their official bug report forum. ;-)

Sorry LaRetta - my bad.  My post was too brief.  I did take a look at the reported issues, thanks to your link, and realized I was not alone, AND found a suggestion to reset my screen resolution to 100%.  That did solve the problem.
