Installation / Configuration

Hi

Do I install MirrorSync (Mac Installer.pkg) on my iMac or on the Mac Mini Server? The hosted solution is on FM Server 13 on the Mac Mini Server.

What it is now is I installed on my iMac, when I run MirrorSync and tried to create a New configuration. I login to and enter the IP address of the Mac mini server with the Mirror admin. After login, I tried to create the new configuration. It pointed to the server IP address but I can list the database although I have the Admin granted to cmxml privilege.

Install it on the Mac Mini Server. There is no need to install MirrorSync on any client computers.

Jesse... tried to install on a Mac Mini (only running FM Server 14). Got a message that Install Failed, Contact the software manufacturer. (screenshot attached). Is MS2 compatible with El Capitan and FM Server 14? What am I missing?

Energuy,

MS2 is compatible with El Capitan & FileMaker Server 14. Sounds like Java may not be installed. Can you try installing Java? If that still doesn't work, can you give our office a call so we can do a screenshare to help you get this resolved? @ +1 (866) 662-9185

Glad we got this resolved! The issue faced was missing installer data. I will update our documentation to clarify that aspect of installation.
