Another Netscape problem

Featured Replies

After solving the problem with Netscape 6.2 that caused FM Pro Unlimited to hang up (the newest WC fixes it), I run into another problem. Anytime I try to use Netscape (any version on any platform) I get the message about downloading file "default.htm" of the type "application/octet-stream" i.e., the default html file is not recognized as such but is treated as binary code of an unknown kind. Everything works fine on IE (any version on any platform.) Has anybody encountered this problem before?

do you use instant or custom publishing??

I'm just interested to find out if anyone ever discovered the solution to this problem? It just today started happening to me, too. I am running FM 5.5 from a Mac G4 on OS X and using a custom publishing solution that has been running for quite some time. The only thing that's changed recently is we upgraded from OS 9 to OS X, but all the preferences on FM are the same. Everything on IE works fine, but Netscape now tries to download the default.htm page to the hard drive instead of opening it as a web page.
