Jarvis Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Is it possible to change the color or other attributes of placeholder text? I like this functionality a lot but think it would be more compelling if the text was red rather than the default grey. Is this possible?
LaRetta Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) There sure is but you must do it within the calculation dialog, similar to: TextColor ( "First Name" ; RGB ( 138 ; 0 ; 2 ) ) Bold is handled at the layout level, as is size but you can also include them if, for example, you are using a Case() test to apply different formats depending upon certain conditions. Wim Decorte Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 When you have the field selected, take a look at the Inspector, on the "Appearance" tab, in the states dropdown there is now a new entry for "placeholder text" where you can set the color and other attributes... 1
Jarvis Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 Thanks Guys! You saved me a lot of searching! PS: Wim: I've been watching a lot of your "Unboxing Filemaker" videos at the SOLIANT TV station on youtube. Great stuff!
