Import text from pdf then text parse?

I'm looking for a way to drag a .pdf file into a container within my database then run a script that exports the text of that container into another text field. Once the text is in that field I can set up some text parsing.

Thoughts?

Did you upgrade to v14, you are reflecting 12 in your profile. If yes, please update the profile, if not, I will move this to the Container Field Topic.

I believe you need a plugin or a third-party application to extract text from a PDF.
