May 28, 200223 yr When viewing in Table view, is there a way to click on a category header and have the list sort by the category clicked?
May 28, 200223 yr Not that I know of (then again, i haven't tried) I would just make a layout that just looks like a table an have the headers be buttons that do the sorting.
May 28, 200223 yr In layout mode from the menu Layouts>Layout Setup, select the Views tab, select Table Properties, then check Sort Data When Selecting Column.
May 29, 200223 yr Hello Dan, YES!!! You can setup 'sort'ing in the 'Table View'. - Switch to 'Layout' mode - Go to 'Layouts' menu - Select 'Layout Setup...' command -- a 'Layout Setup' dialog will appear with 'General' and 'Views' tabs - Click the 'Views' tab -- be sure the 'Table View' is 'checked' - Click the 'Properties...' button -- a 'Table View Properties' dialog will appear with 'Grids', 'Headers and Parts', and 'Rows' sections -- be sure the 'Include column headers' is checked - Click (check) the 'Sort data when selecting column' option - Click the 'OK' button to close the 'Table View Properties' dialog - Click the 'OK' button to close the 'Layout Setup' dialog - Switch to 'Browse' mode - Switch to 'Table' view to test... Clicking on a column header (field name) will sort the 'found' records in 'ascending' order. Clicking the column header with the 'option' key (Mac) or 'shift' key (WIN) will sort the 'found' records in 'descending' order. Hope this helps... Bob
