Hi i created a script where i can import a list of records via an excel however i receive an error 729 and no records get impoted, any idea why? i would appreciate if anyone could help me out on this as i would like to get this import feature working

This solution is actually for commercial property where tenant would be a One company name with its company ID #. Each tenant has lease start date , end date , break dates , rent, insurance, service charge etc etc... What i am trying to do is bring it all together it should show on a clear chart (would prefer portal) the current property state who is now residing there and its current income and lease length.

it is good to show the active tenant , but not what i require as would need more info (working info)from the tenant too That is what i have in the Unit page. No i would need it all summarised in the property page - that is what i am trying to figure out.

Tnx for your response That i have created , when i go into the units form layout i could see the unit and its details and then a 1 line portal that show the active tenant at default and via a value list that runs a script one could view older tenants . what i need is in the property table in the units portal it should show the related "active" tenant. New Post Tnx Ocean West , the sample looks good but .... Firstly each unit could have ONLY 1 active tenant (reason why i am say is below) it is not just the tenant name that i would need to show but also rent, how long lease etc and then carry out calculations/summaries based on that for total rent , average lease rent etc. THEREFORE , it can't just take a say so copy of the right tenant it needs to feed all additional info so they could be summarised. i hope i am clear . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for you response , the first option would not work because the table is based on the units table therefore if i filter it based on active all it looks at the first input and filters according to that. The second works in the data of the tenant table , but the same thing it will only show that way if i display a tenant portal , but would need to display a unit portal. The unit has to be there regardless , it is just that the tenant it has to show the one that is marked active. How would i do that ?

Hi i have 3 Tables Property , Units , Tenant. Each property has many units , Each unit has one tenant active but may have many inactive tenants from previous years. All working fine BUT..... i would need to show a table in the property layout of the units and each one only with its active tenant. The portal is based on the units table. However the tenant just show up the tenant that was first input to the unit. My question is , how could i get that only the active tenant should show to the unit? i would really appreciate it someone could guide me on this.

Hi Wondering whether this is one of Filemakers limitation and/or there are any ways round it. i have a portal which displays my related records to a customer . These records are split down to two sections (Two options) i had created a slider that on slide 1 it displays option 1 and on slide two option two. However the slider only seams to show up on the top portal row. i would appreciate if anyone could explain me if this is not possible or something was just set out wrong.

hi i have a field on my layout that is display via a popover that the value list is based on a relationship narrowed down by another relationship. i would like to perform a find on this layout by only showing the related results, however i can't seem to perform a find in the popup field , is that something that cannot be done - i can't seem to find anywhere it talking about it?

Hi When sending email from my filemaker solution using email 360 , email appears as plain text with out any formatting alll mushed together even when in my solution it is formatted , how do i rectify /apply formatting to that?

Hi , i am in the process of intergrating the 360works email plugin into my solution , working great so far, for one issue , every couple of emails sent out of the solution fails , i get an error message as below Any ideas why this happens , i have tested the outgoing server many times and that works great , what does this error mean , i would appreciate if someone could help me out on this , i would want it all working before i go ahead and purchase the license.

did it all , deleted the Java and the plugin , reinstalled all and no change , get the same error message each time.... please could u help me on this. it is working now , tnx.

Hi i have a field that uses a drop down list of values from 1 - 5 to insert in the field. the field is on a portal. The portal could contain upto 50 records. i would like to limit the amount of time each value could be used to 16 times as that is the limit of spaces i have available . OPTION 1: i would want that once the limit is reached the value greys out if possible . OPTION 2: if not i would want that it a script should activate on a onobject keystoke / validate it should test it and not allow it. i would appreciate if one could help me out on this preferbly OPTION 1.

Hi , the following is very simple just can't to the bottom of it i have a field which has a value of a color. i want to get the found count of the record but it should only count every color once meaning record 1 - red record 2 - green record 3 - blue record 4 - green my result should be 3 i would appreciate if someone could help me out on this.

Hi i want to create a script where i can import new records via excel . i want to be able to pick up the related parent table id and place it in the designated field in the imported sub file. The PropertyIDF (see pic below) should get from parent table. see script below , unfortunately when i do the import it only places the propertyIDF for the first record in the foundset (see pic 2,) how do i script that all new records created should get the variable data in the selected field. i would appreciate if one could help me out on this.
