  7. In version 4 of filemaker you could display a message via AS that would show a field value and a button choice, is that possible with 5 and how is it done. Cheers Coops [This message has been edited by Coops (edited January 09, 2001).]
  8. Excellent!! Just the job, a well thought out way of developing, if only the creator of the solution I have just inherited followed something like 1% of the ideas here I would have save weeks of heartache! ------------------ Cheers Coops
  9. I'm pretty sure you can't do this with just calculations because you would end up with a circular argument, scripting it would work tho' ------------------ Cheers Coops
  10. Hi Yeti If you are using a Mac this will work <shift> <option> 2 will get you the Euro E Irrespective of your OS it is dependent on the font you use. This is OK for all the latest apple system fonts that are part of the standard system installation. I should think that someone would have the bases covered for windose (sp?) ------------------ Cheers Coops
  11. Aye, Aye Capt, I was afraid that was the case, normally I would always favour rellies over reps! The reason for pushing reps was that I am making a game for a small child and wanted to keep it as a single file to avoid it 'breaking'. Ho Hum back to the drawing board. thanks
  12. I have a repeating field in which I want to store a list of randomly selected values from another repeating field. I have the random calculation sussed but when I try to put the GetRepetition calulation in any repetition other than 1 it does not appear?! script step is: Set Field ["repeatingField1" -2, "GetRepetition(repeatingField2;(random calc)"]
