Could you guys clarify migration of user accounts, privilege sets, value lists, custom functions, custom menus,  etc?

Which come from dev and which from prod?

My assumption is that everything but user accounts (and maybe value lists?) come from dev. Hopefully user accounts are maintained from prod.

I know this wasn't true in older versions, but i believe it changed when you started using the migration assistant.

Could you confirm?

Hello,

Anything schema related (e.g., tables, layouts, and scripts) comes from the dev server.

Everything content related (e.g. records, accounts, and value lists) comes from the prod server, so your user accounts are maintained from the prod server like you would like them to be.

Value Lists come from the Production Server? Value Lists can be a critical part of development. Or is it only value lists that users can edit(which I never use anywhere, ever)? Just wanting to be clear with this.

Was this question ever answered? I also need to know if value lists that users can edit come from the production server but other value lists will come from the dev server.
