Web Connector

Tried to load the Web Connector software on a Win2K server with IIS 5 and FrontPage 2002 server extensions running. When I attempt to connect to "LocalHost" to set up admin options I am prompted with the standard download dialogue box, Open or Save the file. I was on the phone with FM Tech Support for 2 hours when the tech finally said it's an IIS problem call MicroSoft. Yeah right! Anyone have a clue what's gooing on here?

Which version of FileMaker/Web Connector?

Seems like it is not actually running!

I'll go with that.

Furthermore, our WSC doesn't like "localhost" a bit. We must use the proper "outside" IP of the server.

I had a lot of times this problem:

sometimes with iis5 connector doesn't work: it works for one or two months then it's impossible to access the configuration tool with no reason.

I think it is a problem with privilegies in iis that sometimes go away with no reason.

The solution for me was to format all and perform a clean installation of iis and fm.

The last time it happened after a deframmentation procedure.....B)?:?:?

There things not explicable for me...

Bye bye
